Family means everything to me.
When I moved out on my own I had two roommates, one of my roommates always had his sisters visiting. It was nice seeing how close he and his siblings are, I had a ton of fun spending time with them, I almost felt like I was a part of the family. Now, I officially am a permanent member of their family. In October of 2022, I married the love of my life, Caroline, my roommate’s youngest sister. We have one beautiful baby girl and have hopes of having many more little ones running around our house some day.
I got my start in photography back in 2014 and what I love about photography is that I get to capture relationships, I get to show the love families have for each other. A portrait can have a beautiful mountain backdrop, the most epic scene, with great lighting, but if it lacks genuine expressions and connection, then that portrait has no soul. It’s all style and no substance. So after I set up a beautifully framed shot, and get my lighting dialed in, I wait until I see genuine expressions because what I’m truly after are capturing portraits that have a soul, that tell a story, and that will be handed down for generations. Because no matter where life takes you, near or far, the most important thing in life is the love your family has for each other.
